David Cordero
Una nueva entrega del músico gaditano David Cordero se suma a su extensa discografía de 36 discos desde 2012, que comprende trabajos en solitario y colaboraciones con reconocidos artistas del ambient como Miguel Otero, Ian Hawgood, Pepo Galán, Carlos Ferreira, Warmth, entre otros.
“Abstract Lights”, editado en Archives – como otros álbumes de Cordero – es publicado a principios de mayo de este año y masterizado por uno de los más connotados artistas de la música ambient contemporánea, Taylor Deupree (véase la reseña a su reciente álbum, ‘Stil.’ por Greyfade, 2024 en https://loop.mitocondria.cl/taylor-deupree/).
Este nuevo álbum consiste en 11 tracks en el que nos adentramos en el tupido bosque tropical del arte de portada, a través de las expansivas notas de sus sintetizadores modulares que sobrevuelan este maravilloso lugar natural.
En este disco cada una de sus piezas mantienen una continuidad, cuyas líneas melódicas ambientales ofrecen una atmósfera sosegada y etérea que cruza todo el álbum. Esto hace que el oyente vaya progresivamente incorporando emociones que lo mantienen en equilibrio.

“Abstract Lights”, released on Archives – like other Cordero’s albums – was published early May of this year and mastered by one of the most renowned artists of contemporary ambient music, Taylor Deupree (see the review of his recent album, ‘Stil.’ by Greyfade, 2024 at https://loop.mitocondria.cl/taylor-deupree/).
This new album consists of 11 tracks in which we enter the dense tropical forest of the cover art, through the expansive notes of its modular synthesizers that fly over this wonderful natural place.
On this album, each of its pieces maintain continuity, whose ambient melodic lines offer a calm and ethereal atmosphere that runs throughout the album. This causes the listener to progressively incorporate emotions that keep them in balance.
