**Drone, “Colourformoney”, My Kung Fu, 2006**
Drone aka Cassidy Phillips de Cardiff, Gales comienza a hacer música a finales de los ’90 y en forma independiente saca los álbumes «Memoirs of a Boy-Faced Dog» y «Disc 0». Sus influencias musicales son diversas: Aphex Twin, Björk, Lisa Germano, Massive Attack, y Pink Floyd, entre otros.
Llegué a “Colourformoney” a través del compilado “The Wire Tapper 16” de diciembre 2006 y me encontré con un pop electrónico confeccionado con maquinaria digital y varios otros instrumentos además de Phillips en vocales.
En este disco podemos escuchar algo de dubstep, electrónica y por sobre todo buenas canciones que despliegan la susurrante voz de Phillips y “Vintage Ptii” es un magnífico tributo a “Analogue Bubblebath 1” [R&S, 1992] de Aphex Twin, uno de los íconos de la música electrónica en los noventa.
Phillips muestra una variedad de matices que imponen una rica mezcla de colores.

**Drone, “Colourformoney”, My Kung Fu, 2006**
Drone aka Cassidy Phillips from Cardiff, Wales, UK, starts making music late in the nineties and he puts out independently the albums *‘Memoirs of a Boy-Faced Dog’* and *‘Disc 0’*. His musical influences range from Aphex Twin, Björk, Lisa Germano, Massive Attack to Pink Floyd, among others.
I knew *‘Colourformoney’* through «The Wire Tapper 16» compilation [December 2006] and I bump into an electronic pop made up of an outdated software and several other instruments furthermore Phillips vocals.
In this record we can listen up some dubstep, electronica and most of all very good songs that unfold the whispering Cassidy’s voice, and *‘Vintage Ptii’* recalls to Aphex Twin’s *‘Analogue Bubblebath 1’* [R&S, 1992] and it can be a brilliant tribute to one of the electronica icons of the 90’s.
Phillips showcase a variety of hues and certainly a blending of colours.
