Nacido en Alemania en 1942, Klaus Wiese tiene una larga carrera musical desde 1970. Dos años más tarde se une a los legendarios Popol Vuh. Ha desarrollado un gran interés por la música del oriente, mezclando instrumentos de esa parte del mundo como el cuenco tibetano, campanas, percusión y cuerdas.
La música de Wiese se inscribe en el ambient, de vastas atmósferas y profundos ecos y resonancias. Me recuerda por momentos a Tangerine Dream, sin embargo en otros, con beats más solapados – que son la nota distinta del álbum – como son “Deer’s Gate”, “Overland-Express” e “Insect Ride” y las percusiones de madera en “Tabla-Ballet”.
Este es un disco que tiene muchos matices que merecen una atenta escucha.

Born in Germany in 1942, Klaus Wiese has one long musical career since 1970. Two years later he joined the legendary Popol Vuh group. He has developed a great interest on the eastern music by travelling to that part of the world, combining electronic and acoustic instruments like the Tibetan singing bowls, bells, percussion and strings.
The music of Wiese works in the ambient field within vast atmospheres, deep echoes and resonances. It recalls per moments to Tangerine Dream, nevertheless in others, with crafty beats – which are the ones that mark the difference in the album – as on *Deer’s Gate*, *Overland-Express* and *Insect Ride* and the wood percussions on *Tabla-Ballet*.
This is an album which unfolds many shades that deserve a deep listening.
