Este es un nuevo disco del prolífico artista sonoro japonés que nos entrega ‘August Is Fall’, el cuadragésimo noveno CD en su sello Solstice.
‘August is Fall’ consta de tres largos temas realizados en un software de diseño sonoro. La primera ‘I’ es un ruido repetitivo que va tomando distintas formas y en la medida que lo hace, se agregan nuevos sonidos al loop que al final del tema va desapareciendo. En ‘II’ al parecer se continúa con los ruidos de ‘I’ pero con más capas agregadas que insinúan una forma musical. ‘III’ tiene sonidos similares a los dos temas anteriores pero en una frecuencia distinta, quizás más soterrada y escondida.
La música de Asano en esta oportunidad se presenta con mayor complejidad que los discos anteriores a los que he he tenido acceso.

This is a new album by prolific Japanese sound artist who delivers ‘August Is Fall’, the forty-ninth CD on his own Solstice imprint.
‘August is Fall’ consists of three long pieces performed in a sound design software. The first piece ‘I’ is a repetitive noise that takes different shapes and to the extent that it does, new sounds are added to a loop that at the end of the track disappears. On ‘II’ it apparently continues with the sounds of ‘I’ but with more layers added which suggest a musical form. ‘III’ has similar sounds to the two previous tracks but on a different frequency, perhaps buried and hidden.
Asano’s music in this opportunity presents more complexity than his previous albums to which I have had access.
