Luigi Turra, “Texture.Vitra”, Koyuki, 2008

Luigi Turra es un artista sonoro y diseñador gráfico italiano que posee una discografía de tres discos en los sellos Microsuoni, Small Voices y Koyuki. Este último editó este mes el CD de 3” titulado “Texture.Vitra”, el que está basado en grabaciones de campo tomadas desde el interior y exterior de la instalación “Vitra Seminar House” del arquitecto Tadao Ando.
Los sonidos – tanto ambientales como de fuentes concretas – fueron procesados por Turra. Este trabajo se desarrolla desde el silencio, drones y material de metal que despliega oscuros tonos.
“Texture.Vitra” es una pieza minimal de 19 minutos sobre ricas texturas que mantienen al escucha muy ansioso de lo que viene y el silencio juega un rol clave en toda la atmósfera que se atreve a crear.

Luigi Turra is an Italian born sound artist and graphic designer that has a discography of three releases on Microsuoni, Small Voices and Koyuki labels. This last released this month a 3” CD called ‘Texture.Vitra’ which is based in field recordings taken from the inside and the outside architect Tadao Ando’s project ‘Vitra Seminar House’.
The sounds – both environmental and concrete sources – were reprocessed by Turra. This work evolves ranging silence, drones and metal material that spread dark tones.
‘Texture.Vitra’ is a minimal piece of 19 minutes long layered y rich textures that keep the listener very anxious about what’s coming next and silence plays a key role in the whole atmosphere the dares to create.
