Este es el sexto disco de la serie “Product” del sello Crónica Electronica que se dedica a mostrar el trabajo de dos o más artistas en el mismo CD.
Este es el caso de “Product 06”, que comprende el trabajo del polaco Pawel Grabowski, Jorge Mantas aka The Beautiful Schizophonic y el trabajo conjunto de James Eck Rippie y Paulo Raposo.
Grabowski, quien vive en Irlanda y dirige el netlabel Silence Is Not Empty, nos muestra su composición “But I’m Not”, una pieza de más de 18 minutos que se interna por laberintos oscuros que por momentos hacen recordar a las atmósferas de Coil. Su magnetismo es envolvente y produce intriga; ráfagas de líneas ambientales que se expanden y se contraen.
Por su parte, The Beautiful Schizophonic presenta 11 temas bajo el título de “Love Songs for a Psychoacoustic Girl”, que comienza con la simbiosis de voces procesadas. Luego se nos introduce – a través de varias capas de drones – hacia un mundo también sombrío. Las capas ambientales reciben el tratamiento de sonidos granulados que esparce su polvo sintético hacia el espacio.
James Eck Rippie, es un artista sonoro y visual de la ciudad de Nashville y Paulo Raposo, quien reside en Lisboa, trabaja como artista sonoro y medial, componen el tema “Natureza Morta”, de algo más de 19 minutos, en el que conviven los materiales orgánicos como madera, metales, ondas de radio, entre otros, que han sido manipulados.

This is the sixth instalment of the ‘Product’ series of Portugal’s based Crónica Electronica label that shows the work of two or more sound and visual artists.
‘Product 06’ is the opportunity to know the works of Polish sound artist Pawel Grabowski, Jorge Mantas aka The Beautiful Schizophonic and the collaboration between James Eck Rippie and Paulo Raposo.
Grabowski who lives now in Ireland and runs the netlabel ‘Silence Is Not Empty’, show us the 18 minutes piece ‘But I’m Not’ that goes into dark labyrinths that recall the Coil atmospheres. Its magnetism is hypnotic and produces intrigues; bursts of ambient lines that expand and contract.
On the other hand, The Beautiful Schizophonic presents 11 tracks under the title of ‘Love Songs for a Psychoacoustic Girl’, that starts with the symbiosis of processed voices. Then introduced us – through several layers of drones – towards a murky world as well. The environmental layers are treated with granular sounds that scatter its synthetic dust through the space.
James Eck Rippie, is a sound and visual artist from Nashville and Paulo Raposo, based in Lisbon, works like as a sound and media artist, composed the 19 minutes piece ‘Natureza Morta’ in which the used materials like wood, metals, radio waves, amongst others that have been manipulated.
‘Product 06’ is an involving album of beauty and darkness.
