Philip Sulidae, “An High Land”, Dontcaresulidae, 2010
Este es el álbum debut del artista sonoro australiano Philip Sulidae que fue grabado en el verano boreal de este año utilizando trabajos de campo, órgano y sampler.
“Valleys” comienza con corrientes de agua que fluyen en el fondo y en la superficie se desesarrollan gruesas capas de ásperos sonidos.
En “Tharwa” emerge una sutil línea melódica a través de oscuros drones, en tanto que “Ash” empuja ondas de micro ruidos junto a espirales de guitarras.
“Nighthill” entrega altas señales manipuladas, crujientes sonidos, ráfagas de nubes de polvo. “Dead Horse Gap” se encuentra en medio de una tomenta de osciladores que van y vienen y “Cotter Horst” se expande en vastos pasajes de drones dentro de oscuros corredores.
“An High Land” se submerge en borrosas atmósferas que producen un ambiente abstracto tanto de paisajes distantes como de objetos comunes de la vida diaria.

This is the debut album of Sidney based sound artist Philip Sulidae which was recorded in the summer of this year with field recordings, organ and sampler.
“Valleys” starts with water streams that flow as a backdrop and in the surface unfold thick layers of harsh sounds.
On “Tharwa” emerges a subtle melodic line through dark drones, while “Ash” pushes on waves of micro noises that come together with spiral of guitars.
“Nighthill” delivers high-pitched signals, crackles sounds, and blasted clouds of dust. “Dead Horse Gap” stands in the middle of a storm of oscillators that come back and forth and “Cotter Horst” expands over vast passages of drones into dark corridors.
“An High Land” goes deep into blurred atmospheres that draws an abstract ambience of both distant landscapes and domestic objects of our daily life.
