Este es el segundo álbum de este cuarteto de Génova, después de su aclamado “Flares”.
“Afraid To Dance” fue masterizado por el mexicano Murcof, se compone de 10 temas en los que se combinan la electrónica y las guitarras etéreas.
Aquí confluyen influencias de grupos del 4AD in the likes of Dif Juz, Cocteau Twins and Underground Lovers.
La música de Port-Royal tiene una base melódica, de carácter expansivo y básicamente instrumental y esta vez dos temas tienen la vocales de Giovanna Gallo.
Cada canción cautiva por las atmósferas relajadas que poseen, las cuerdas temblorosas de la guitarra y las líneas de teclados ambientales.
En este disco asoman beats 4×4 muy solapados que muestran una faceta rítmica que imprime soltura y dinamismo.

Each song captive the laid-back atmospheres that showcase trembling guitars and ambient keyboards lines.
