Este es una nueva edición, número 55 en el sello For 4 Ears que dirige el destacado improvisador alemán que vive en Suiza desde hace 20 años. Este CD es una presentación en vivo de Philip Samartzis en registros de campo y electrónica, Günter Müller en percusión, mini disc y electrónica, Andy Guhl y Norbert Möslang en electrónica [ambos ex-Voice Crack], que se llevó a cabo en la Media Arts RMIT Universidad de Melbourne, Australia en julio de 2002.
Este CD incluye tres largos temas en donde el ambiente interactúa con la generación de sonidos electrónicos, realizados con equipos análogos y computador. Por una parte, las grabaciones de campo son variadas: voces de niños y de adultos quienes hablan en distintos idiomas, moscas, sonidos naturales obtenidos de un bosque, y por la otra, zumbidos, agudos y micro sonidos digitales casi inaudibles, ultra procesados, percusión metálica; sonido puro.
En suma este disco de improvisaciones, abstracto y que muestra un interesante lugar común entre el medio ambiente y live electronics. This is a new release number 55 on the For 4 Ears label run by renowned German improviser Günter Müller based in Switzerland for 20 years now. This CD comprise a live performance by Philip Samartzis on field recordings and electronics, Günter Müller on percussion, mini discs and electronics, Andy Guhl and Norbert Möslang on electronics [both ex-Voice Crack], at the Media Arts RMIT University of Melbourne, Australia in July 2002.
This CD include three long tracks where the environment interacts with the generated electronic sounds, both carried out with analogue devices and computer. The field recordings are varied; voices of children and adults, who speak in different languages, flies, nature sounds taken from the forest on one hand, and on the other, hum, sharp micro digital sounds, some of them almost inaudible and quite processed, metallic percussion: Pure noise.
In sum a record of improvisations, abstract, which showcase an interesting common place between environment and live electronics.
