Este es el trabajo colaborativo entre el londinense Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner en laptop y electrónica y el filósofo/músico David Rothenberg en bajo clarinete, clarinete y computador.
Desde los 90’s Rimbaud trabaja como músico, compositor y artista sonoro en distintos campos del arte sónico y visual e instalaciones, editando varios discos y colaborando en proyectos con reconocidos artistas además de participar en compilados. Sus grabaciones de conversaciones a través de celulares marcaron un enfoque innovador en la música electrónica contemporánea.
David Rothenberg está inspirado por el sonido de los pájaros, insectos, ballenas, el agua y el viento y tiene a su haber nueve álbumes, junto a varias colaboraciones con artistas como Jan Bang, Scanner, Glen Velez, Karl Berger, Peter Gabriel, Ray Phiri y el Karnataka College de Percusión.
Este disco registra grabaciones entre 2008 y 2010, excepto dos grabaciones en vivo de 2007 y «You Can’t Get There from Here» tanto tiene una estructura de canciones como piezas improvisadas. La música se mueve entre las suaves pulsaciones de beats y las incursiones jazzy, incluyendo voces grabadas.

This is a collaborative work between Londoner Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner on laptop and electronics and philosopher/musician David Rothenberg on bass clarinet, clarinet and laptop.
Since the early 90’s Rimbaud works as a musician, composer and sound artist in different fields of the sonic, visual art and installations, releasing a slew of solo recordings and collaborative projects with many well-known artists and various compilation appearances. His mobile phone recordings marked an innovative approach for electronic contemporary music.
David Rothenberg is inspired by the sounds of birds, insects, whales, water, and wind and has nine albums released plus collaborations with Jan Bang, Scanner, Glen Velez, Karl Berger, Peter Gabriel, Ray Phiri, and the Karnataka College of Percussion.
This album registers recordings from 2008 to 2010, except two live sets from 2007 and «You Can’t Get There from Here» are both structured based songs as improvise pieces. The music ranges between soft pulsating beats and jazzy incursions including voice recordings.
