Este cuarteto se formó en 2008 en Nueva York y lo componen David Tumura en saxo, teclados y guitarra, Robert L. Pepper, violín y electrónica, Steve Orbach en batería y Raphael Zwyer en bajo, electrónica y samples.
The Jazzfakers combinan el avant-garde, el jazz y el noise.
Arrebatos de ruidos electrónicos, filudos punteos de guitarra que expresan un rápido diálogo con el bajo y batería asincopada.
‘On rise new’ da un cierto respiro apaciguando el caos sonoro con suaves ritmos jazzísticos. El canto del saxo se apodera de ‘Nowhere is’ y los timbres electrónicos predominan en ‘Whine rose’.
‘Wise horn’ comienza con flirteos del sintetizador con el saxo y la batería, se agrega los efectos de la caja de la guitarra. En ‘Her woe sin’ el cuarteto explora con los dispositivos electrónicos y los furiosos soplidos del saxo.
La propuesta de The Jazzfakers muestra la creatividad y el riesgo y ‘Here is now’ es una prueba de que el grupo no hace concesiones.

This quartet was formed in 2008 in New York City by founder David Tumura on sax, keyboards and guitar, Robert L. Pepper, violin and electronic, Steve Orbach on drums and Raphael Zwyer on bass, electronics and samples.
The Jazzfakers combine avant-garde, jazz and noise.
Bursts of electronic noise, sharp guitar riffs expressing a fast and furious dialogue along with bass and non syncopated drums.
‘On rise new’ gives a soothing breath to the sonic chaos with a gentle jazzy beat.
‘Weise horn’ synthesizer begins flirting along with the sax, drums, and special effects of the guitar case. On ‘Her woe without’ quartet explores the electronic devices and the furious blowing sax.
The proposal of The Jazzfakers shows creativity and risk and ‘Here is now’ is the proof that the group does not make concessions.
