Este es el tercer álbum en Kranky de este artista de Montreal Tim Hecker y su octavo disco a la fecha, además de varios EP’s y colaboraciones.
Este disco fue grabado en una iglesia de Reykjavik, Islandia y el principal instrumento usado como fuente sonora fue un órgano a tubos.
Fue asistido por el residente en Islandia Ben Frost, quien fue el ingeniero de sonido y también tocó en este disco.
«Ravedeath, 1972» tiene una orientación más clásica y es un paso más lejos en la música de Tim Hecker, más enriquecida con los elementos acústicos como fuente para la composición, combinado con el diseño de sonido digital.
En “In the Air l-lll” se alcanza el punto más alto en este álbum.

This is the third album of Montreal’s artist Tim Hecker on Kranky and his eighth record to date plus several EP’s and collaborations.
This disc was recorded in a church in Reykjavik, Iceland and the main instrument as a sound source was a pipe organ.
He was assisted by Iceland based Ben Frost who was the recording engineer and also performs.
«Ravedeath, 1972» has a more classical orientation and is a step further in Tim Hecker’s music, more enriched by the acoustic elements as a source for composition, combined with sound design.
On “In the Air l-lll” it achieves the highest point in this album.
