Este compilado marca el segundo aniversario de este sello de Seattle dirigido por el artista sonoro Yann Novak y este último junto a Tadakito Ichinoseki, Kamran Sadeghi [aka Son Of Rose], Corey Fuller, Marc Manning [aka Heavy Lids], Tomoyoshi Date, Jamie Drouin y Son Of Rose, participan en “Cotton”, cuya presentación muestra una bella fotografía de una nube con un límpido cielo azul de fondo en una caja de DVD.
Tadahito Ichinoseki y Tomoyoshi Date abre este compilado con “Gensho No Tabi”, que son finas notas de piano junto a un recitado en japonés. Yann Novak con “Lullaby” nos muestra un drone con agudos tonos que se va expandiendo en el espacio. Kamran Sadeghi, sin título [Kha Series] ofrece pequeñas texturas digitales. Corey Fuller en “Light Along The Edge Of Water” se sumerge en un ambient con bellos timbres como campanillas. Marc Manning y Yann Novak trabajan juntos el tema “Feeling Alone All Together” con finos acordes de guitarra que se combinan con granuladas gotas de estática. Tomoyoshi Date y Corey Fuller en “Midnight Sanctuary” trabajan con diminutas texturas de objetos encontrados y un drone en el fondo. Jamie Drouin en “Dresden” y sus opresivas texturas granuladas nos recuerdan el meticuloso trabajo de Jason Kahn y Günter Müller.
Cierra este compilado Son Of Rose “Grand Treatments” con ambient y una oscilante y bella estática.

This compilation marks the second anniversary of this Seattle based label run by sound artist Yann Novak who along with Tadakito Ichinoseki, Kamran Sadeghi [aka Son Of Rose], Corey Fuller, Marc Manning [aka Heavy Lids], Tomoyoshi Date, Jamie Drouin and Son Of Rose, participate on ‘Cotton’, whose presentation shows a beautiful photography of a cloud with a limpid blue sky as a backdrop in a DVD case.
Tadahito Ichinoseki and Tomoyoshi Date open this comp. with ‘Gensho No Tabi’, a gentle piano notes along with a spoken-word in Japanese and some found objects recordings. On ‘Lullaby’ Yann Novak showcase a drone piece and sharp tones that expand through space. Kamran Sadeghi, Untitled (Kha Series) offers tiny digital textures-harmonics. Corey Fuller on ‘Light Along The Edge Of Water’ digs into an ambient piece with fine timbres like little bells. Marc Manning and Yann Novak work together the piece ‘Feeling Alone All Together’ in which shimmering guitar chords combine with grainy static drops. Tomoyoshi Date and Corey Fuller on ‘Midnight Sanctuary’ work with microscopic found objects and drone as a backdrop. Jamie Drouin on ‘Dresden’ and his oppressive grainy textures recall the meticulous work of Jason Kahn and Günter Müller. Close this compilation Son Of Rose with ‘Grand Treatments’ with an ambience and flickering and shimmering stasis.
