Esta es una colaboración entre el artista sonoro Wyndel Hunt y el artista de media digital Thom Heileson.
Ambos coinciden en la idea de la “fuerza anónima que crea formas”. Hunt representa estos cambios en las formas a través del pitch, tonos y volumen, en tanto Heileson representa la música con visuales de figuras que crecen y se desintegran, construcción y demolición, vida o muerte… ¿o renacer?
“Unit of Selection” comprende dos CD’s, uno con la música de Hunt que tiene una estética minimal, drones y oscuros ambientes.
El DVD muestra la imaginería de Heileson en cuatro videos. “Unit of Selection 2” tiene una figura rectangular que entrega imágenes abstractas. “Unit of Selection 4” muestra una autopista, fríos árboles en invierno, figuras que se desvanecen, sitio en demolición y mucho humo que sale de las fábricas: un paisaje industrial.

This is a collaboration between sound artist Wyndel Hunt and digital media artist Thom Heileson.
Both meet under the idea of “anonymous force that shapes”. While Hunt represents these shifts on shapes through pitch, tone and volume, Heileson represents the music with visuals of figures that grow and disintegrate, construction and demolition, birth and death… or rebirth?
“Unit of Selection” comprises two CDs, one with Hunt’s music which has a minimal aesthetic, drones and a murky ambience.
The DVD showcases Heileson’s imagery on 4 videos. “Unit of Selection 2” has a rectangular shape that delivers abstract figures. “Unit of Selection 4” shows an architectural structure, human figures and trees that represent nature, life. “Unit of Selection 8” shows highways, cold winter trees, vanishing shapes, demolition sites and factories throwing out smog: an industrial landscape.
