Funzion, “Hiperbórea”, Zensible 04, 2006

Cuarta trabajo del sello argentino Zensible del productor Alejandro Mosso [alias Funzion], el cual aglutina a varios artistas locales, por ejemplo Gurtz y Dilo, a quienes junto a Funzion ya había escuchado en el netlabel español Sinergy.
Todos los 9 temas que contiene presentan una base de bajo característico que va entre el dub y funky y/o ritmos 4×4 a la mano con líneas melódicas y atmósferas sutiles.
Personalmente me quedo con los temas ‘Bosque’, ‘Brotación’ u ‘Tule’ que se centran más en el beat que la melodía. Cabe destacar también la buena presentación del CD que va acorde al sonido de la mayoría de los temas, minimal y con melodías tristes, como el bosque de la portada, pero a su vez con matices de calor como la fogata que también aparece en ella.
En resumen, una producción bien elaborada que destaca por la pulcritud de su sonido y como cosa aparte creo que gana bastante fuerza y espontaneidad si es que alguien lo vio en vivo en Mutek.cl.

Funzion, ‘Hiperbórea’, Zensible 04, 2006

This is the fourth release of the Argentinian Zensible label from the producer Alejandro Mosso [aka Funzion] who has under his home various local artists, for example Gurtz or Dilo, who along with Funzion have some releases in the Spanish netlabel Sinergy.
The 9 tracks here included have a characteristic bass base who runs between dub and funky and 4×4 beats by the hand with melodic lines and subtle atmospheres.
Personally I prefer tracks ‘Bosque’, ‘Brotación’ and ‘Tule’ more focused into the beat than melodies.
One thing to emphasize is the nice packaging of the CD that reflects in a good way the sound of almost all tracks, minimal ones accompanied with sad melodies, like the forest of the cover, but at the same time with little shades of heat, like the bonfire included there too.
In sum, this is a good manufactured production, specially the sound quality, and other thing, if someone saw him at Mutek.cl live I think he turns stronger and spontaneous playing live.
