Benoît Pioulard aka Thomas Meluch es de la ciudad de Michigan y «Précis» es su álbum debut, después de grabaciones en casete y CD-R y de su «Enge EP» [Moodgadget, 2005].
Con la utilización de varios instrumentos como guitarra acústica, bajo, campanas, dulcimer, sampleos, registros de campo y aterciopeladas voces, Pioulard realiza estructuras de canciones pop con una exquisita sensibilidad.
Hay algunos temas destacados como «Together and down» y «Palimend» con una provocativa y oscura ambientación, además de melosas canciones, a saber, «Corpus chant», «Hirondelle», «Needle & thread», «Sous la plage» y «Ash into the sky». También se aprecian varios temas instrumentales que le dan una intensa atmósfera a este álbum.

Playing various instruments like acoustic guitar, bass, bells, dulcimer, samples, field recordings and haunted vocals, Pioulard crafts pop songs structures with an exquisite and fine taste.
There are notables here such as Together and down and Palimend with a provocative and dark mood and mellow songs like Corpus chant, Hirondelle, Needle & thread, Sous la plage and Ash into the sky and several instrumental tracks in between that create and intensive atmosphere to the album.
