Este es el tercer disco del islandés Orlygur Thor Orlygsson, luego de su anterior «The Blue Sound» [2006] y de su primer disco homónimo [2005].
En “Bravado” hay varios músicos invitados de Reykiavik como el baterista de Sigur Ros Orri Dyrasson y Georg Holm en bajo, entre otros.
El romanticismo y la intimidad son dos sentimientos que están muy presentes en este disco que recuerda a las atmósferas de los desaparecidos Tindersticks. Con la voz sugerente de Orlygsson – siempre bajo el tapiz del eco – propone magníficas canciones como “The future is now” que evoca a la canción italiana de los sesenta, en tanto que “Song for love” y “Everything is energy” con sus ritmos pausados y voz cancina, tienen un exquisito sabor dark.

Third album of Icelandic Orlygur Thor Orlygsson that follows the previous and notable The Blue Sound [2006] and his first full-length self-title debut in 2005.
On Bravado there are guest musicians form Reykjavik like Sigur Ros’s drummer Orri Dyrasson and Georg Holm on bass, among others.
The romanticism and intimacy are two feelings that mark this album and recall the atmospheres of now defunct Tindersticks. With the suggestive voice of Orlygsson who sings in his native language – under the tapestry of echoes – it proposes brilliant songs like The future is now that evoke Italian songs from the sixties, whereas Song for love and Everything is Energy unfolds slow rhythm and a mellow and dark voice.
