**Steinbrüchel, “Basis”, Room40, 2007**
Otra nueva edición del inquieto sello australiano Room40 y facturada en un fino diseño en cartón blanco y negro, destacando unas bellas flores en su carátula que anticipa una música con mucha atmósfera que Ralph Steinbrüchel aka Steinbrüchel, nos propone en este disco.
“Basis” son siete composiciones en las que Steinbrüchel reconstruye y reprocesa instrumentos acústicos de grabaciones realizadas por otros músicos.
Los temas “Interlude del 1 – 4” son grabaciones de guitarra que se encuentran en el disco “Happiness Will Befall” [Crónica Electrónica, 2005] de Lawrence English. “These 1 – 2”, están basados también en guitarras aparecidas en “Theory Of Machines” [Bedroom Community, 2006] de Ben Frost y el track “Falter” está basado en el registro de piano que Bernd Schurer utilizó para una instalación sonora.
En esta propuesta minimalista se despliegan tonos brillantes y bellas melodías, bajo un tapiz de innumerables capas de las que afloran texturas límpidas y transparentes.

This is new release of prolific Australian Room40 label and as always the CD comes in a fine gatefold cardboard jacket, showing beautiful flowers in black and white on the art cover [back and inside cover] that anticipates a music with an amazing atmosphere that Ralph Steinbrüchel aka Steinbrüchel showcase in this disc.
‘Basis’ are seven compositions in which Steinbrüchel reconstructs and reprocessed acoustic instruments from recordings made by other musicians.
The tracks ‘Interlude of the 1 – 4’ are guitar recordings from Lawrence English’s ‘Happiness Will Befall’ [Crónica Electrónica, 2005] album. ‘These 1 – 2’, are also based on guitars recordings from Ben Frost’s ‘Theory Of Machines’ [Bedroom Community, 2006] and ‘Falter’ is based on the piano recordings that Bernd Schurer used for a sound installation in 2005.
In this minimalist proposal unfold shimmering tones and beautiful melodies, under a carpet of countless layers of which limpid and transparent textures arise.
