Chris Corsano y Mick Flower después de tocar juntos por un buen tiempo, se reúnen para hacer “The Radiant Mirror” que recibe buena crítica.
Chris Corsano toca la batería y Mick Flower el shahi baaja (una dulcémele eléctrica japonesa y auto-arpa).
Corsano ha ganado una buena reputación por el arduo trabajo que ha hecho tocando con los más importantes músicos como Thurston Moore, Jim O’Rourke, Daniel Carter, Six Organs of Admittance, Evan Parker, Sunburned Hand Of Man, MV&EE, Keiji Haino, Carlos Giffoni, Christina Carter, entre otros.
Así también Flower es un reconocido músico en la escena de vanguardia con su colectivo Vibracathedral Orchestra.
«The Radiant Mirror» editado por el sello francés Textile Records consta de 3 largos temas:
“Earth” con Flower entregando rabiosos punteos de guitarra con cierto sabor oriental, mientras Corsano no deja de desplegar su energía con su forma libre de tocar la batería y la percusión que por momentos llega a cotas de inspiración muy altas.
“Wind” continúa con su periplo oriental, con suaves percusiones y campanillas, drones de dulcémele eléctrica y con espacios para la meditación.
“Fire” es una nueva versión de “Earth” y el mismo sentido de improvisación de gran factura. Es evidente que ambos se conocen musicalmente, mientras uno no descansa en aprovechar cada nota de los instrumentos de cuerda, las baquetas se pasean por todos los tambores de la batería y los platillos, creando un sonido envolvente de rock de vanguardia.

Chris Corsano and Mick Flower after playing several times together, met to produce ‘The Radiant Mirror’ that receives critical acclaim.
Chris Corsano plays drums and percussion and Mick Flower on shahi baaja (a Japanese electrical dulcimer and auto-harp).
Corsano has gained a good reputation by his hard work that he has done playing with the remarkable artists like Thurston Moore, Jim O’Rourke, Daniel Carter, Six Organs of Admittance, Evan Parker, Sunburned Hand Of the Man, MV&EE, Keiji Haino, Carlos Giffoni, Christina Carter, among others.
Thus also Flower is well-known in the improv. and psychedelic scene with his group Vibracathedral Orchestra.
‘The Radiant Mirror’ released on the French Textile Records label consists of 3 long tracks:
‘Earth’ with Flower giving rabid guitar plucking with certain Eastern vibe, while Corsano unfolds his energy with his free-form drumming and percussion that frequently reaches very high levels of inspiration.
‘Wind’ follows up with the Eastern trip, smooth percussions and bells, drones of electric dulcimer creating spaces for meditation.
‘Fire’ is a reprise of ‘Earth’ and the same sense of well-made improvisation. It’s evident that both know each other musically, while one does not rest in taking advantage of each note of the stringed instruments, the drumsticks take a walk over all the drums and cymbals, creating a surrounding sound of psychedelia.
