James Taylor es miembro del dúo británico Swayzak que trabaja en el campo de la música techno, pero ahora bajo el seudónimo de Lugano Fell explora la electrónica, ambient y el noise.
Con un arsenal de instrumentos – algunos inventados por él mismo – objetos encontrados y software, ofrece “Slice Repair” que es su primer CD oficial, el cual es una compilación de sus dos CD-R anteriores editados en 2008 y 2009.
Podemos encontrar en este disco suaves loop de guitarra, sonidos abstractos que emergen en esta interacción de sonidos.
Taylor trabaja cuidadosamente los sonidos acústicos y aquellos sintéticos que procesa fuertemente, y que hacen a este álbum muy texturizado, con temas tanto armónicos como desarmónicos.
Hay varios notables aquí tales como “Slope” con sus bellas melodías de guitarra, “Preform naple” y su entrecortado collage de voces, y los acordes de guitarra pasados por glitch en “Two hundred clocks and a metre”.

James Taylor is a one half member of Swayzak, a British dance duo that works in the techno and house music field, but now under the moniker of Lugano Fell explores electronica, ambient, and noise music.
With an arsenal of instruments – most of them self-built – found objects and software, he offers “Slice Repair”, his first official CD, which is a compilation of the first two CD-R’s released in 2008 and 2009.
We can find in this album soft guitar loops unfold; abstract noises emerge in this interaction of sounds.
Taylor works carefully on the acoustic sounds, which are chopped up, and the synthetic ones are heavily processed, creating a very textural album with both harmonic and disharmonic tunes.
There are many notables here such as “Slope” with its gorgeous guitar melody, “Preform naple” and its hesitating collage of voices, and the glitch acoustic guitar chords on “Two hundred clocks and a metre”.
