Con motivo del quinto año de vida del sello japonés Schole Records dirigido por Akira Kosemura se edita el compilatorio ‘Joy’ en el que participan los artistas del sello con trece temas, algunos de los cuales son colaboraciones y arreglos de temas originales. A cada artista se le solicitó interpretar la alegría que lleva como título el compilado.
Schole Records se caracteriza por un pop delicado donde se combinan los instrumentos acústicos, electrónicos y registros de campo. También es una característica que las voces de niños pequeños aparezcan en las canciones de alguno de los artistas. Esto hace que la emoción de la ternura y la ingenuidad estén siempre presentes en la música.
Si bien todas las canciones son bellas, ‘Air’, compuesta por Nao Kakimoto, está entre sus destacadas con sus bellas notas de piano y acordes de guitarra y la fémina y celestial voz de Asazi. ‘Short Story’ de Quentin Sirjacq también es otra hermosa y elegante pieza de piano. Otras canciones destacadas son ‘Santiago’ por Ghost and Tape aka Heine Christensen, quien combina glitches con acordes de guitarra que parece ser una caja de música que va girando lentamente envolviendo al escucha. También está ‘Light dance’ escrita por Akira Kosemura e interpretada en guitarra por Paniyolo aka Muneki Takasaka, quien ejecuta una delicada pieza que evoca sueños.

To celebrate the fifth year since it was founded Japanese Schole Records label run by Akira Kosemura was released the ‘Joy’ compilation involving the label’s artists with thirteen tracks, some of which are collaborations and arrangements of cover songs. Each artist was asked to interpret the joy which entitled the compilation.
Schole Records features a delicate pop that combines acoustic instruments, electronics and field recordings. It is also feature young children voices which appear in many of the songs by the Schole artists. This makes the emotion of tenderness and ingenuity always present in the music.
While all the songs are beautiful, ‘Air’, composed by Nao Kakimoto is among its highlights with its beautiful piano notes and guitar chords and the celestial female voice of Asazi. ‘Short story’ by Sirjacq Quentin is also another beautiful and elegant piece of piano. Other notables songs here are ‘Santiago’ by Ghost and Tape, aka Christensen Heine, who combines guitar chords and glitches which it seems to be a musical box that rotates slowly by wrapping the listener. Also ‘Light dance’ written by Akira Kosemura and performed on guitar by Paniyolo aka Muneki Takasaka, who performs a delicate piece that evokes dreams.
