Los artistas sonoros Simon Whetham (Inglaterra) y Slavek Kwi (exChecoslovaquia) se reúnen para colaborar en este doble mini-CD’s.
Slavek Kwi vive y trabaja en Irlanda y su trabajo se despliega en las instalaciones, en películas, radio y en ayudar a niños autistas y a niños con problemas de aprendizaje a través del sonido experimental. También dirige el sello Tentacles Of Perception Recordings. Simon Whetham también explora las posibilidades sonoras y el campo audiovisual. Después de una gira que lo llevó al Asia y a Sudamérica, está de regreso en Inglaterra.
‘Exchanges Across A Dinner Table’ es un trabajo que se desarrolló en 5 años (2008 – 2012) en los que se intercambiaron archivos y crearon los temas ‘Simslao’ y ‘Slaosim’. ‘Simslao’, de aparente creación de Whetham, contiene sonidos de metales que chocan entre sí, ladridos de perros, voces, motores, trenes. Algunos de estos sonidos se escuchan a lo lejos en tanto otros se escuchan muy cerca. En otras capas de sonido es posible advertir loops y drones que proveen un telón de fondo.
‘Slaosim’, compuesto por Kwi, nos adentra a sonidos más microscópicos, glitches, cintas tocadas al revés, golpes metálicos, sonidos ondulantes. Muy abstracto e interesante al mismo tiempo.

Slavek Kwi lives and works in Ireland and his work is displayed at installations, film, radio and helping autistic children and children with learning disabilities through experimental sound. He also runs Tentacles Of Perception Recordings label. Simon Whetham also explores the sonic possibilities and works on the audiovisual field. A tour took him to Asia and South America, and nowadays is back in England.
‘Exchanges Across A Dinner Table’ is a work developed in five years (2008-2012) in which they exchanged files and created the tracks ‘Simslao’ and ‘Slaosim’. ‘Simslao’, apparently created by Whetham, contains sounds of metal clashing, barking dogs, voices, motors, trains. Some of these sounds are heard in the distance while others are getting very close. In other layers of sound it is possible to appreciate loops and drones that provide an endless backdrop to this track.
‘Slaosim’, composed by Kwi, delves into microscopic sounds, glitches, tapes played backwards, metal blows, wave forms. Both abstract and amazing sounds!
